Bargoed Briefs The 1st XV entertained local rivals Penallta in a WRU National Championship East tie at Bargoed Park. Bargoed had the upper hand territorially early on but excellent defence from Penallta held them out. The hosts continued to probe for the opening score and a great counter attack from Dylan Williams and good work from James Locke saw Dai Evans cross for a try converted by Josh Prosser.
